#8-ranked International Racquetball Tour (IRT) pro and two-time reigning National Collegiate Champion Jose Rojas from Stockton, CA leads the way for Ektelon’s Team Adrenalin. At 20 years of age, Jose has already established himself as a consistent quarterfinalist on the IRT in his first full year on tour.  Aimee Ruiz, Ektelon Promotions Manager foresees more.  “As Jose manages his scholastic responsibilities with his racquetball career, you can expect to see him rise into the top 3 of the IRT rankings in the next three years.”

It’s a time of change and new beginnings for Ektelon at the professional level and “The Future is Coming Soon” to a location near you!  Ruiz has been busy building a new team consisting of the game’s hottest rising stars in racquetball to represent the brand long into the future and bring new energy and excitement to the sport. The new team, Team Adrenalin, will feature some of the top up-and-coming players in the game today as they make their way from successful junior and collegiate careers to the professional level. With legendary former-touring professionals Sudsy Monchik, Andy Roberts and John Ellis, on Ektelon’s staff, combined with Promotions Manager Aimee Ruiz, Team Adrenalin players will have plenty of guidance and support as they prepare to embark on their professional playing careers.

When it comes to Stockton, CA, Ektelon’s Team Adrenalin doesn’t stop with just Jose Rojas. Thanks to the leadership of Dave and John Ellis and Jody Nance, Stockton has become a hotbed for up and coming junior players, including Jose’s younger brother Markie Rojas and Jose Diaz, David Horn and Jose Serrano. Markie Rojas and Jose Diaz are both very accomplished 17 year olds who have dominated the junior ranks on a world platform over the past fast five years. Markie made a huge splash at the 2010 U.S. Open with his Round of 16 appearances in his first attempt on the IRT. Jose Diaz has been a consistent threat indoor and especially outdoor as he’s been one of the most exciting players to watch at the past three WOR Championships in Huntington Beach, CA. Rounding out the Stockton crew are David Horn and Jose Serrano, both 21 year olds and possessing the abilities to be awesome professionals in due time.

Ektelon’s Team Adrenalin doesn’t begin and end in Stockton, CA, but is well spread out throughout the world. Nick Montalbano from Long Island, NY brings his tall intimidating presence on court with a game that’s mixed with big time power and quickness. Nick is currently the #1 player on the University of Colorado State – Pueblo Racquetball Team. He also spent the last few years as a member of the U.S. Junior National Team and will play his final year of 18 & Under Junior competition this summer. Like Jose Diaz, Nick Montalbano has already made a big impression on the outdoor scene as he was a Men’s Pro Singles Quarterfinalist in his first year at the WOR Champs.

Team Adrenalin has awesome representation in Texas as well with the signing of Alex Ackermann. Alex possesses all the abilities to fly up the ranks on the pro tour. Alex is currently attending college at the University of North Texas and plays professional tournaments when school allows. Alex had a great showing last month while making it into the Round of 16 at the IRT Spring Break Pro/Am event. Look for many more great showings from Alex in the future!! Also be on the lookout for Team Adrenalin to add international players to the roster very soon as we’re well stocked in the racquetball hotbeds of Mexico, Bolivia, Costa Rica and Canada.

Expect to see long time Team Ektelon players Aubrey O’Brien, Michelle Key and Danielle Key join the team. Stay tuned for more developments with the girls side of the team and a few more important additions as well.

Ektelon is in the process of developing a new series of events around Team Adrenalin which promise to bring new energy and excitement to the sport. The team will be featured at the Ektelon National Singles Championships in Fullerton, CA, in May 2011 which will include the professionals of the IRT and WPRO. We guarantee our Ektelon Team Adrenalin will make a HUGE splash at this event whether it’s on the court or off court during our multiple Team Ektelon player events. You don’t want to miss it!!
