Founded in 1990, the men’s professional International Racquetball Tour (IRT) features 300 players competing in over 20 Top-Tier and more than 50 Satellite tournaments in Latin America, the United States, and Canada. Sanctioned as a NCAA sport, tournaments draw amateur and college entrants during the September through May season. The amateur players compete in divisions ranging from beginner to open level for both singles and doubles.

After a nearly fatal car accident at eighteen when doctors said he’d never walk again, Jason Mannino become one of the best racquetball players to ever play the game. A former #1-ranked World Champion, Mannino’s other titles include two U.S. Open Championships, U.S Pro Nationals Champion, and twenty-two career tournament victories. He retired from the pro tour in April 2010 to accept the position of President of the men’s professional International Racquetball Tour (www.irt-tour.com). Mannino uses the same focus, drive, and determination developed on the courts in his business career, which also includes a role as Managing Board Member of Victory MMA and Fitness Center, co-author of Championship Racquetball and the Building Your Racquetball Dream House camp and DVD series.

Shari applies the same attention to detail and skills gained after twenty years in the health care industry, culminating in a position as Director of Business Development, to her work with the IRT. This 2008 Missouri Racquetball Association President, engineer of the Missouri Racquetball Hall of Fame, and Tier 1 Tournament Director supports other event leaders with public and community relations for top-tier tournaments. Her role includes addressing pro player needs and running the pro-qualifying rounds to serve as a liaison between the community, host city, and the IRT in order to facilitate public relations. Adam has multiple U.S National Titles in both singles and doubles, two World Doubles Titles and a Pan-American Gold Medal in Singles. Before joining the IRT team as the VP of Event Development, Adam started Flying Fish Resources, an Information Technology Staffing firm that services customers in both the public and private sectors throughout California. |

After earning her degree in Communications from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, corporate relocations sent Jen Sinclair Johnson to six states throughout the Northeast and Midwest over the next 20 years. Writing was a constant, including newspaper reporting and a gardening column. The former racquetball director and writer for Pastelle magazine also brings a business background to the IRT’s information flow, helping to put the power, speed, and agility of racquetball into everyone’s life. |
