Courting Indoors: IRT Season Starts September 18

2014 KM Bobcat Open LogoThe start to the official 2014-2015 IRT season begins with back-to-back top tier action, as world class racquetball returns to Texas for the 2014 Krowning Moment & Bobcat Open, home of 9-time #1 World Champion, Kane Waselenchuk, who is looking to defend his crown on home turf against the wily veterans and the new guard shooting for the top spot in the ranks. This high-level racquetball haven also invites amateurs to “customize their playing weekend,” enjoying at least 2 matches in the singles rounds (on Saturday), and in the doubles brackets (on Sunday). 2014 KC LogoThe pros will have only a few days to unpack their bags from Texas before meeting in Missouri for a perennial start-of-the season favorite, the 15th Annual Ghost of Georgetown Novasors KC IRT ProAm presented by Novasors, Edward Jones (Rosco Halsey), and the Kansas Racquetball Association.  After #4 Jose Rojas defeated #1 Kane Waselenchuk in the semifinal and #2 Rocky Carson in the final for his first Tier 1 victory last year, “The Ghost” hints at the unpredictability of the season to come. With a free juniors clinic Saturday morning and pro player appreciation party Saturday night, divisions for all players, and grandstand bleachers holding over 300 screaming fans, this event promises all of the excitement of world class racquetball.
