2008-09 IRT season set to begin
Chicago IL - The 2008-09 season schedule is near completion. There are a few dates still pending but most of the schedule is set and ready for IRT action! The tour will kick off with the Motorola World Racquetball Championship presented by Verizon Wireless in Denver Colorado. This will be a unique event as it will be the first time the new all Lucite court will be on display outside in a public setting. The court will be set up at Skyline Park #2 next to the ESPN Zone and a Verizon Wireless store on the 16th street mall in downtown Denver. This will be a very exciting event and will also feature an amateur draw which will be held a few blocks away at the famous Denver Downtown Athletic Club. The IRT will visit many of the cities that have been on the schedule for many years and a few new ones along the way. Of course the US Open has moved to an earlier date in October this year so make sure you have marked the date change down on your calendars to the 22-26th.
We are working hard to add another outdoor event in Orange County with the all Lucite court. The season will finish in May this year at the Motorola Pro Nationals. The event will be held at Chicago's famous Navy Pier and will be a bit different than in years past. This year’s event will be a pro only event and feature all the top IRT pros in the world. This will be a change from the traditional racquetball tournament but make your plans to come and watch some great racquetball and enjoy a beautiful city and all that it has to offer.
