IRT Rookie Anthony Herrera visits Bolivia



La Paz Bolivia- IRT rookie, Anthony Herrera visited Bolivia on January 6th 2008  to put on a clinic presented by Gearbox Racquetball and the Bolivian Racquetball Federation. The clinic was held at the public courts of San Antonio in La Paz Bolivia. More than 70 people attended the clinic. All ages were welcome but there was a large number of juniors at the clinic. The President of the Bolivian Racquetball Federation Roberto Aracena , assisted Herrera who covered various topics in the clinic.After the clinic Anthony took on the number one player from Bolivia, Kadim Carrasco in an exhibition and then the kids had an opportunity to play Herrera a game to 5. The event concluded after three hours that night at about 11 pm. 

Anthony came to help out with the USA team at the Junior World Championships in Cochabamba Bolivia. While in La Paz Bolivia he gave lessons to the locals. After the clinc and exhibition in La Paz , Anthony moved on to  Santa Cruz Bolivia on the 9th to host another clinic and an exhibition match with Bolivian star Recardo Menroy.

Anthony Herrera is playing his first full year on the tour and playing solid ball. He is also attending the University of Colorado and will be finishing his college education in a few years. He hopes to continue to play the IRT and excel at school at the same time.
